Give me one good reason…

why you believe in God.

Go ahead.

I’ll wait.

If I asked this in the mid 20th century your answer would most likely have been “Because I don’t want to burn and be in torment for eternity in hell, which God has prepared for all sinners and non-believers who haven’t confessed Jesus of Nazareth as the Christ, the Son of God.” (Let alone as also being the final destination for the devil and his angels, who by the way, God created. Seems to me he’s not batting a thousand as a creator.)

I know. What an awesome God.

But I know that you don’t hear that answer, about hell or Hades or Gehenna, even in church services in this day and age. Come on Christians, (even if only in name only), when is the last time you heard your minister, preacher, evangelist, worship leader, praise team coordinator, say that you are going to hell if you don’t believe in God and his son by Mary?

Talk about putting the fear of God in you.

But you have nothing to fear.

The only thing modern Christian churches exist for is to be a glorified self-help, self-glorifying, self-actualizing, Broadway-show-caliber seminar.

I’m waiting.
